When You're Rich

"Come on! You don't want us to be late, do you?" Gale grabbed onto Olive's hand and pulled him along.

"Sorry, sorry. You just walk too fast. My old bones can't keep up." Olive cracked a smile at Gale.

"You're literally 2 months younger than me. Just say your pelvis is acting up again." They rolled their eyes and pulled out their phone. "I'll let everyon eknow we're gonna be a few minutes late. Though, I don't really think it will be a problem. Everyone else always seems to be late all the tiem anyways."

Olive sighed in relief as Gale slowed down, letting him move at a much more cofmortable pace. It was always his right leg, the bone just felt like it was grinding into his pelvis. Once he got a chance to sit and stretch it would go away but until them he was left limping. It had been a long day. At least he wasn't carrying around anything too heavy, otherwise it would have started hurting much earlier.

"You should really get that cane you've been talking about."

"I knowwww." Olive whined, "I'm only 20 I shouldn't be experiencing joint pain."

"I know, that's why you should get the cane already."

"I don't wanna spend the money for that though."

"When I'm rich and buy a mansion for everyone to live in, I'll buy you a cane and pay for you to go to a doctor and get it checked out."

Olive snorted. "I look forward to that."

"Just imagine it! Us all living together in a house. We all have our own rooms but we see each other in the kitchen and have movie nights and see each other regularly. If someone's out late there will always be someone up to make sure they get home safely."

Olive could picture it pretty well. Always people he liked around to be with him. It would be hard, but he'd always be able to see others even when the public was too much for him. Starting a puzzle and everyone working on it throughout the week until it's done. Planning out going to game nights and helping pay off people's funraisers. That was an amazing picture to him. "When you're rich." Olive responded. "That sounds wonderful."

"Yes."
